Drop your frames here
or browse - PNG, JPG or WebP, 2 frames minimum
Enable the "Save GIF" menu toggle in VRChat, then place your VRChat
camera inside of the black orb. Take a photo, then use the "Save Next
Frame" button to view the next frame, and take another photo of the
next frame. Continue until you have a photo of each of the 16 frames.
Find your photos/frames in Pictures\VRChat (by default),
then drag and drop them all here. Files are sorted by name, so the
VRChat camera's timestamps already put them in order.
Frames
Click a frame to jump the preview to it. Drag to reorder. Click the × to drop a frame.
Preview
Preview shows real timing at the output size. The exported GIF adds color quantization, so expect a small quality drop.
Size
Height follows your frames' aspect ratio.
Quality
gifski's encoding quality. 80 is its default and is usually the right answer - reach for the compression below before dropping this.
Compression
A gifsicle pass over the finished GIF - the same trick ezgif uses to get sizes down. Frame differencing is always applied; the two dials below trade detail for bytes.
0 is off. 30-60 is the sweet spot; past ~100 you'll see speckle.
gifski already builds per-frame palettes, so forcing one global palette usually costs more quality than it saves. Try lossy first.
Color
Applied to the preview and to the exported GIF. 100% leaves your frames exactly as VRChat captured them.
Speed
100%- Frame rate
- 12 fps
- Frame delay
- 80 ms
- Loop length
- -
If you want to match the speed seen in VRChat, then match the "Recording Speed" value from the in-game menu slider.
Above 20 fps, GIF's 10 ms timing grid makes playback uneven and some viewers clamp it anyway.
File name
vrchat-imax.gifWhat the file is called when you download it. Characters Windows won't accept in a file name are removed automatically.
